The Brief

The client wanted to cement its position as a strategic, credible expert on global network resilience challenges and how to overcome them.

RETN needed to raise awareness of its brand and associate it with first-hand, operational insights on urgent connectivity issues by spotlighting under-addressed market challenges like Red Sea disruption. 

The Method

We crafted a comprehensive whitepaper that blended qualitative leadership perspectives with strategic desk research and a single internal data point, ensuring a persuasive and authoritative narrative. We focused on timely themes such as geopolitical impacts on connectivity and network disruption, positioning RETN as a market leader with unique intelligence. 

We conducted in-depth interviews with C-suite leadership, tapping into their expert knowledge and on-the-ground operational experience. Careful framing of internal estimates allowed RETN to balance bold insights with credibility. Complementing these interviews, we carried out extensive desk research into pressing sector issues, developed a suite of compelling themes.  

Through expert structuring and drafting, we created a final whitepaper on global telecoms challenges that was insightful and substantiated, blending opinion with existing third-party research and fresh internal data. By avoiding overclaims and using careful phrasing, we built trust and enabled RETN to stake out a leadership position in the narrative around global connectivity disruption. 

The Outcome

The whitepaper launch was a landmark event for RETN, successfully elevating the brand’s profile as a leading voice in global connectivity and sparking industry-wide conversations. RETN found itself at the center of a leading sector story, with 200 downloads by key telecoms decision-makers.  

Regional insights on the future of connectivity and the impact of the fiber cuts, alongside revelations about RETN’s efforts to build resilient networks, educated the whole industry about how to be better prepared for future challenges. This instilled confidence not only in network providers and operators but also the wholesale and enterprise companies that depend on them. 

The report was deployed for client engagement and events, becoming a highly valuable tool for building relationships and opening dialogue with stakeholders. Over 30 pieces of quality press coverage across major tech and national media expanded RETN’s reach. 

The project demonstrated how expertise and smart storytelling can deliver impactful content cost-effectively, driving genuine value and competitive differentiation. Ultimately, our work amplified RETN’s brand as a reliable source of insight on critical market shifts.
