Aspectus supported RightShip’s communications in China by localizing global content for WeChat, helping the brand maintain visibility and clarity in one of the world’s most important maritime markets.
RightShip was sharpening the communication of its digital tools and its role in safety, sustainability, and crew welfare. In China, the focus was on ensuring this messaging translated clearly and credibly for local audiences.
The brief
Aspectus worked closely with RightShip to adapt selected global posts into Chinese for WeChat, ensuring tone, terminology and framing were appropriate for the platform and the local maritime context. Particular care was taken to simplify and clarify references to digital products such as the Due Diligence Hub and PSC RiskIQ, focusing on practical benefits rather than technical detail.
The challenge
The challenge lay in making complex, globally developed content accessible and relevant to charterers, ports and regulators in China, while remaining true to RightShip’s established brand and messaging.
The approach
Through careful translation and localization, Aspectus helped RightShip present a more consistent, professional and locally resonant presence on WeChat. This approach supported brand recognition in China and reinforced RightShip’s positioning as a forward-looking organization using data and technology to support safer, more sustainable shipping.
