A shift from brand awareness to brand authority – raising Oxford Flow’s profile to attract investment and industry attention through media and social channels.
Seven years ago, Oxford Flow tasked us with raising awareness of its pioneering valve technology for the water and oil and gas sectors. As the company matured, we supported its growth into gas distribution – building its brand around key industry challenges including hydrogen readiness, emissions elimination and innovation. By late 2023, the brief was clear: go even bigger and attract investment.

The challenge
Oxford Flow is a high-growth spinout from Oxford University, engineering specialist valves that eliminate fugitive emissions and reduce operational risk across gas, energy and water networks, globally. Following commercial progress and industry praise – including recognition by ADNOC – the team were ready to take the business to the next level.
But unlocking investment meant more than trust and exposure: it required credibility. The brand needed to evolve from a disruptor and innovator. Now was the time to communicate stability, prove the effectiveness of its product portfolio and position its strong leadership to attract global partners and investors.
Our approach
We shifted the focus from brand visibility and trust to credibility – helping Oxford Flow speak to investors, media and the market in a consistent, confident voice through a multi-channel campaign.
Our integrated campaign combined issue-led commentary, earned media interviews, press releases and thought leadership content. We aligned spokespeople with high-impact topics, from government budgets to industry reports and new innovations like MethaneSAT.
When bp Ventures and Energy Impact Partners (EIP) invested, we worked in partnership with bp’s press team to tell the story – securing a feature in Upstream, 23 additional media hits, and delivering standout LinkedIn results. With the brand at full visibility, Oxford Flow’s message landed exactly where it needed to.
