
Celebrating the €21.5 million Series B funding round for Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) fintech BKN301 Group via a highly targeted campaign across the Middle East and Europe.
Group is a global tech provider specializing in Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and fintech innovation, with a global presence spanning the UK, the Middle East, and continental Europe. They challenged us with creating a high-impact media campaign to showcase the firm’s €21.5 million Series B funding round, with a core focus on securing top-tier coverage in both English and Arabic language media.
The Challenge
Despite a strong global footprint, BKN301 had not yet expanded into the UK market and wanted to draw attention to its entry there. The campaign needed to build credibility in this key market, while also driving localized media traction across continental Europe and the Middle East.
A key task was to ensure that the messaging of this global growth milestone resonated across multiple regions, languages, and media landscapes. The press across BKN301’s target regions are diverse, so Aspectus was challenged with securing cut-through in both English and Arabic-speaking press as well as a number of verticals.
Our Approach
To ensure relevance across vastly different markets, we developed a series of tailored press releases for each region, localizing the messaging to suit cultural and editorial nuances. We translated the content into Arabic for Middle Eastern media, and different media strategies were employed depending on the region – reflecting the differences between startup and funding-focused outlets in the UK and Europe, to business and financial press in the Middle East.
This multi-market approach resulted in strong traction with journalists and helped build momentum for BKN301 globally.
The campaign secured 136 pieces of coverage across all target markets, with strong pick-up in both English and Arabic press. The news was featured in top-tier publications, including Tech.EU, ZAWYA, Al Ittihad, EU-Startups, Al Khaleej, and Fintech Futures.
