Strengthening PlanRadar’s visibility in Southeast Asia with targeted narratives, strategic interviews and data-led insights that secured strong regional media cut-through.

The brief

PlanRadar engaged Aspectus to build regional visibility in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. The brief was to position PlanRadar as a leading voice on construction technology, safety, digital transformation, BIM and operational efficiency, while securing consistent earned media across business and trade publications.

Our challenge

While the construction industry in Southeast Asia is rapidly transforming, adoption of digital tools is gradual. This created significant competition among technology vendors trying to influence a fragmented market. PlanRadar needed strong, topical content that spoke credibly to on-the-ground challenges, including compliance, safety, labour constraints, rework and the net zero transition. Each market also required tailored storylines anchored in local regulatory context and industry maturity. With limited brand recognition in Malaysia and the Philippines, and a need to build on early traction in Singapore, the challenge was to deliver a consistent, region-wide cadence of meaningful, media-relevant narratives.

The approach

We developed a sustained, multi-market programme focused on topical thought leadership, data storytelling and strategic newsjacking. Storylines explored compliance costs, safety regulations, BIM adoption, construction rework, sustainability challenges and the industry’s digital readiness. The team delivered regular pitching cycles, press release localisation, and timely commentary tied to major events, government announcements, and regional construction incidents. This included responsive insights on Trump’s tariffs, sinkhole events, and safety regulation changes in Singapore and Malaysia. Tailored pitches secured interviews with senior spokespeople across top-tier business, trade and regional publications, strengthening PlanRadar’s regional profile and demonstrating tangible relevance to Southeast Asia’s construction landscape.
