ICIS is widely recognized in Europe as a trusted provider of connected intelligence, enabling businesses in the energy, chemicals and plastics space to make smarter decisions. However, in North America, despite its benchmark status in European energy markets, ICIS had limited brand awareness and faced competition from well-established industry players like S&P Global. 

The challenge was clear: establish ICIS as an influential voice in US media, particularly within chemicals, industrials, and energy conversations. With no existing owned content to amplify, the campaign required a strategic, proactive media approach to position ICIS as a thought leader and go-to industry source.

Our Approach

In 2022, ICIS engaged Aspectus to drive its US PR strategy and increase visibility across the energy, chemicals, and sustainability sectors. By crafting compelling storylines and high-value editorial content, we secured strong media coverage and elevated ICIS’s key messages. 

Our team built relationships with leading journalists and ensured ICIS executives were positioned as expert sources for industry news. This effort resulted in high-impact placements in major publications such as the Financial Times, POLITICO, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as key industry briefings with Bloomberg, CNBC, and WSJ.
