London, 9th July 2014 – Aspectus today announced that it has appointed Sophie Hodgson as head of technology. Hodgson will focus on rapidly growing and developing the technology team through the acquisition of new business. Prior to joining Aspectus, Hodgson ran her own communications consultancy and was previously a board director at Speed Communications. She has worked on a broad spectrum of clients including Bloxx, Compuware, Informatica, Qinec and Virgin Media Business.
“With many new companies disrupting the landscape and bringing to market new approaches and platforms, the technology sector has a real spring in its step,” says Hodgson. “Perceptions of PR have also changed. A former PR Week 29 under 29, Hodgson started her career at Spark Communications, before joining Rainier PR, which later merged with four other agencies to become Speed Communications in 2009. She brings with her over a decade of experience and, at Speed, oversaw a wide ranging client portfolio that included both B2C and B2B technology brands. She joins three other ‘home grown’ PR week 29 under 29s among the Agency’s senior management.
