Grab a few sparkles, a barbecue, plenty of friends and family and get ready to watch the fireworks because it’s finally July 4th and the USA is ready to celebrate!
To commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, whereby the United States declared its independence from Great Britain, Americans celebrate Independence Day, or more commonly known as the Fourth of July. Americans band together today to celebrate their home, spreading overwhelming feelings of cheer and unity across all 50 states.
And while this holiday will always hold special meaning for Americans, perhaps we can use today not only to remember our past but also to seize opportunity for the future.
When reflecting upon our country, it’s impossible to avoid thinking of the global web of which we are a significant part. Our country has found itself deeply involved in overseas conflicts, assisting Europe with its economic woes while attempting to overcome our own economic recession and political battles with the nearing presidential election. Today, Americans will put aside conflicts and deadlines to celebrate the United States and unity as a nation.
Perhaps that’s really the theme our founding fathers wanted us to remember: unity. Certainly the USA doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and it is called the melting pot for a reason. When celebrating our unity as a nation, we can celebrate the different cultures and nationalities that have been brought to the USA.
Here at Aspectus, we operate from two offices based in New York and London and work diligently to unify our messaging to create one, cohesive Aspectus brand. And we take this same approach to our global clients as unity across offices is what promotes business efficiency and consistent branding.
